People, Mcleodganj, Bhagsu

Hi all,
This post would be about meeting some of the different people I have met in Bhagsu.

First up met somebody called Anne and she’s from France. Anne is a member of a left-left political party called as NPA (stands for New Party Anti-Capitalist) . She’s just not a member but a politician in her own right. She’s smart, beautiful and intelligent.
She came to meet the Tibetan Youth Congress and seek their views on many aspects such as equality, human rights and so on and so forth. From the discussions it became clear that there is an European-wide referendum/law which covers aspects of human rights, gender equality, tibetian cause etc.
I also met a canadian called Remi. I found Remi’s story to be interesting, creative and intriguing. Remi has a theory that if we make certain thoughts they get reflected in the reality around oneself. Remi had an idea he wanted to import something to Canada, do some kind of import-export business. So on a hunch/intuition he booked a flight to India. On the flight he met a co-passenger who had a book called ‘Ask and it be given’ . The book is around creativity as well as similar idealogy/idea he has. He got the book from the passenger and read the whole thing during the long flight. While chatting to the other passenger he came to know that that person is a wholesaler and offered him exclusive rights to sell Incense Sticks in Canada.
Then while doing his India trip, he had to go to Nepal to extend his visa. During his stay there he realized he was quickly becoming out of cash. So he was searching for a temp. job, somebody asked him why doesn’t he come and teach at the best school in the state. 45 mins. and he had the job in his bag 🙂
While teaching there he met an Nepali woman who also taught in the same school. They quickly became good friends and eventually husband and wife. Now the couple sell Incense Sticks on the streets of Mcleodganj (between 13:00 and 16:00 hours) as well as do wholesaling as well.

That’s about it for this episode from Mcleodganj and Bhagsu

Where exactly are you from and how long have you been on the road ? How long will you be in Dharamsala ?

I am from Delhi. I’ll be visiting McLeod on the 9th of April. Was looking for recent blog entries on the same when I came across your blog.

I hope that Ropeway to Triund thing does not happen.
